General Assembly, the highest authority of International Federation of Organic Movement (IFOAM), was held on 16-17 October 2014 in Istanbul, Turkey. 292 delegates attended the activity from around 40 nations. Zhou Zejiang, senior consultant of OFDC, represented China and was included in 17 candidates from the world's seven continents campaigned for 10 members of the World Board on the afternoon of October 16th. He worked on organic agriculture and organic food industry for more than 20 years and made great contribution to promoting organic agriculture in China and increasing communication of organic industry between China and foreign countries. Finally, he succeeded in the first-round election. It was the first time for China to become the member of the World Board.
