What does OFDC can provide?
Currently, OFDC is capable of providing organic certification service to OFDC organic program and operating inspection for OCIA certification program via OCIA China Chapter. Now OFDC and OCIA China Chapter together have more than 400 clients all over the country and organic products they certified have been exported to countries all over the world. OFDC has also extended its inspection and certification service to clients in Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, etc..

OFDC Certification
OFDC provides organic certification service to the National Organic Product

Standard of China and OFDC Organic Certification Standard. OFDC-certified organic products enjoy organic market not only in the mainland of China, but also in Korea, Hong Kong and Macao. Besides, OFDC has established close cooperative relations with organic certification agencies in EU, Japan and USA, and keeps on mutual recognition terms with more than 20 other IFOAM accredited certification agencies in EU, Japan and USA, thus providing OFDC-certified products with access to these major organic markets of the world.

OCIA Certification
OFDC also handles application for OCIA organic certification and

conducts inspections for OCIA certification. OCIA is one of the largest organic certifier in the world, recognized by the governments of the USA, EU, Switzerland, Japan and Canada. Products certified by OCIA to the NOP program, EU2092/91 Ordinance, JAS and OCIA International standards may enter the related organic markets directly.

How to be certified as organic?

Contact OFDC Certification Department One (certification to OFDC)/Certification Department Two (certification to OCIA International), ask for an application form and an organic farm/processing plant plan questionnaire and make payment of the application fee;
Hand in the completed and signed application form and questionnaire via post office to OFDC Certification Department;
Sign a certification agreement with OFDC Certification Department after the department has reviewed the application file and confirmed that the applicant is eligible for organic certification;
Remit related payments to OFDC in line with the agreement;
OFDC arranges for an accredited inspector to conduct field inspection;
OFDC/OCIA Certification Committee reviews and verifies the inspection report handed in by the inspector and the application file and makes certification decision;
An organic certificate and a labeling license are issued to the farm/processing plant who meets the standards for organic certification;
Apply to OFDC for TCs for sales of its organic certified products.
